Rolex Question
I am looking to get my daughter a Rolex for graduation. It will probably be a model that lists for between $5-10K.
How much of a discount should I expect to get ?
Thanks

If you're planning on buying from an AD don't expect much of a discount, if any. Rolex is notorious for keeping their dealers on a tight leash. The grey market however, is another story, but as they say... buyer beware.

Yeah I am sorry to say, the most you might be able to hope for is an AD waiving the sales tax. Any AD that values their "authorized" status is not likely to jeopardize it by discounting. As I said, Rolex has a low tolerance for such behavior, and will yank selling privileges without much hesitation. Furthermore, Rolex has a very low dealer markup relative to other luxury brands, so there is little breathing room for negotiations regardless.

There are so many mint pre-owned Rolexes on the market. Unless you want some uber limited model, I don't see too much sense in buying brand new.
EDIT: Didn't realize it was a gift. But, it is still a considerable savings.

Don't be afraid to check out cartier and chopard. They have some nice styles that may be more appropriate for a young lady her age.
