Haute Horlogerie Picture Thread
I don't believe that we have a thread where people can share pictures of unique watches with fellow members. I think it would be cool if we had a thread where you post watches that you think are cool, rare, unique, historical, etc. in order to share with your TS brethren. If you actually own the watch, throw the picture up in the wrist shot thread, maybe throw other pictures and info in here. I know personally that I am always looking up random watches and thought it would be nice to post some stuff for other members to see. No need to post a full bio or anything, but the watch name and a link would be cool.
I was trying to get some more information on the Speake-Marin Marin2 Thalassa (great pdf on the site BTW), when it hit me that most people probably have no clue about this watch/manufacturer (as I didn't 2 months ago).
The perfect combination, the dress watch [Marin1]:

and weekend warrior [Marin2 'Thalassa']:

Would not mind one of these in the collection someday...

Should be a good thread, great starting pieces as well. I had dinner with Peter the last time I was in Switzerland, really a great guy. Check out his new Vegas Ten watch for a trip.
Some of the coolest watches I've had the chance to shoot lately...

Should be enough for now...

George Daniels

During his career, George Daniels has completed 37 watches, not including prototypes. Throughout his career he has applied himself relentlessly to the major task of redesigning the mechanical watch escapement to compete on equal terms with the quartz watch which had threatened its future.
The two most successful of his revolutionary escapements are the co-axial and the independent double-wheel, both of which have found international support in the notoriously conservative watch industry. These escapements represent the first advance in the practical design since the invention of the lever escapement by Thomas Mudge in 1754.
