General opinions of TAG Heuer?

I've never had any problems with them before, but I was curious as to everybody's general perceptions of their products?

I walked past today and saw this TAG Heuer Grand Carrera
Grand CARRERA Calibre 36 RS2 Caliper Chronograph Ti2
. I thought it was quite beautiful.

Random thought of the day.

I've got 4 Tags. I think they are nice. I have a 10 year old plus Caliber 36 and it runs as good today as it did new.

I've seen that watch. Had it on last weekend 2 times. I've seen the watch online for about 25% off of list I just can't remember where.

If its the Black with Red highlighted watch it is stunning. Wears pretty big but is very light.

Eh. My perception of the brand is that it's over-marketed and over-exposed. I can't seem to walk past any random shop without seeing a glass Tag Heuer watch stand outside. It's like LVMH outsourced the marketing department to India who decided to rip off the Swatch marketing plan. Which is a huge shame, because they have a fantastic history and make a bunch of very interesting watches.

While I agree they are marketed to the hilt this watch he is talking about is very nice looking. If it's this one.

I think its a fine starter watch. I got one for my 21st birthday... which was quite a few ago. Never had a problem with it, but it doesn't get any wrist time any more. The case is so small (compared to my pam) that it feels like a woman's watch.

I like that one that was posted though. I'd only spring for it if I got a BIG discount.

That TAG mark posted is pretty much the only TAG I like. It looks great on the wrist.

I would pass on anything that was not vintage automatic or a Monaco.
