Thanks for the honest answers. That one I spoke of (which Mark posted an image), plus the Monaco are the only two I quite like. The other TAG which I own, I've never had a problem with. So from that point of view, the brand is still in my good books.

I'm going to make an offer on that watch and see what happens. It's not one of those have to have's.

Awesome I hope you get it.

It really does wear well and looks fantastic on. My brother in law has 2 years ago version of that watch. Not near as cool.

I do as well. I like the fact that the smaller dials rotate instead of the arms as per your conventional designs.

Looks very nice Dana! Raikkonen is a heck of a nice fellow. A friend of mine was staying at their house not too long ago.

^^ Thanks! As long as he respects and takes care of the pieces, I love to share the passion with him.

Bought a TAG for my first "starter" watch in my early 20s... a TAG 4000 which my dad now wears, needed a full service after 15years but still going strong.

I've heard the quality of their watches went down over time, a few watch shops have dropped them due to their lack of quality and over exposure.

my parents gave me a tag my first year in medical school. i still remember how excited i was and it was on my wrist everyday until i finished fellowship. it is still working almost 20 years later and i smile everytime i see it, even though i don't wear it anymore.
