Just got back from Sushi Kaji in Toronto. Best sushi/food I've ever had in my life. Didn't get a chance to try Toro, but the other courses were great and Kaji was the man.

 

it only goes downhill from there... you will never be able to eat "normal" sushi again...

incidentally, i just emailed Masa in NYC for a reservation (probably the best sushi i've ever had.) of course, they've raised their prices from $400 to $450... before tax and a mandatory 20% tip. ouch.

hi all,

first off, hope everyone made it home ok. secondly, hope everyone enjoyed the meal. personally, i was a tad bit disappointed as there were a couple things left off my initial vision. i spoke to the chef/owner about it and he acknowledges that it got a little busy tonight and there were some things that were overlooked.

in any case, what we were served was very good and i think valuewise, it was well worth it. i'm interested in all feedback, positive or negative. hopefully we can do this again soon, whether here or another of someone else's favorite.

Haha yeah. Unfortunately there's no good places around where I live so I'm gonna be forced to, but I can see myself making trips to NYC more often now. I'm actually going to be in NYC next weekend I think, so I may try Sushi Yasuda or something (I can't afford Masa, otherwise I'd go there).
