How Kanye West solved the music industry's problem singlehandedly

This.
Not surprisingly, there is also a generational conflict, as people tend to prefer the music they grew up with.
I could just say most of the so called "music" produced in the last century pales in comparison to the talent, creativity, and skill involved in the real classics of instrumental Western music, which resides in the Classical/Romantic era with predominantly stringed instruments...But I doubt there are many people nowadays who regularly listen to and appreciate classical music.

That is kind of what I am getting at. It is still music either way.
Just that you say Kanye is more musical than lyrical... That either really bashes him into the ground for the lack of musicality, or just makes everything else seem to be described as something that isn't music. Just the music that Kanye put out is Lyrical in nature, and without said lyrics (read: no singing or rapping ie. no voices) it is very stale. Elevator music basically.

I don't like it. And I don't like him, such a big ego.
And I don't think his music is good too, the way he plays piano, that can be done by every 5 year old, the way he's pretending to be a dj (what's up whit that? pushing on some buttons with 2 fingers and no real good rhythm at all), there's a hole list of things..
No offense too everyone who likes him, I hope you guys enjoy hearing his music.

I personally don't think his rapping is particularly skilled, and I agree with you with his skills on musical performance, nothing impressive about that, but I guess the same could be said about most music nowadays.
I just think he is a very capable producer who can bring together a whole range of people/music and make it sound more interesting/different than others nowadays.

On a side note, the album is SICK. It's like a friggin story and Chris Rock's bit at the second half of Blame Game will make you bust a gut laughing.
