Sorry, but Nirvana fvcking sucks. I know for their time, they were all things to depressed teenagers, but come on, it's painful.
C'mon man....they help define a generation... as well as Pearl Jam. And thank GOD they're still around!

The years leading up to his death were really quite sad, was a bit of a nut though. Would love to hear his life story, really respect his work and how much he changed the scene of rock.

So what if they helped define a generation? Doesn't make them good. Pearl Jam is slightly better, but not by much.

Elvis and The Beatles also helped define their generation, except, they were good.
