It's not a gas-piston, I chickened out in that department, and it's no LMT or LWRC. I'm not sure if I'll be going back to California in a few years so I didn't want to commit to a 2-3K rifle just yet.
Dude, the AWB law is second on the list to be challenged by calguns, so it might be over by the time you get back.

Also, you can have any LMT or LWRC or Sig or any of those new piston rifles in CA, you just have to use a 10 round mag and put a bullet button on it, which is reversible.

Great! Sticky trigger.

Just over 200 rounds through this rifle and a trigger reset problem is giving me a headache. I thought it was just a matter of breaking it in, but now I'm not sure. Once the rifle fires, the trigger travel back is impeded by something. The spring isn't strong enough to push it back. I have to pull it back again and release it in order for the spring to give the trigger enough momentum to return to the ready position. I removed the upper last night and it seems the trigger catches on the hammer (?)

I don't want to buy a new trigger.

I would suggest you to look around for best ar 15 models which are also coming in cheap rates due to increase in competition of seller. I have gone through various sites while searching for cheap rated ar15 material and found this one. I bought some of mine gun material from here.

ar 15 manufacturers

the ruger ar is also great as it is piston driven allowing it to have similar reliability to that of an AK-47 or SCAR

If anyone wants a SCAR, black or FDE, let me know, I can get these under $2500 to you.

I have a note in about the 17s....

that's a good price, we got ours for $2,200 used with about 100 rounds through it.
