Course Announcement - DARC Civilian Tactical Carbine Class
Folks,
I just got wind of another civilian class being offered by DARC. If you want to know more about DARC, do a search for it on TS. I have already obtained permission from Richard Mason to post; however, moderators on TS, please delete if this is a violation of any of the rules.
Be aware that seating is limited; therefore, act quick if you want to reserve a spot.
Course info is as follows (cut and pasted from another email):
Dissemination: Unrestricted, this is an open enrollment course
Location: DARC (NLR, AR)
Date: 15-17 Oct 2010
Cost:
$650 per person
There is an additional 3.5% surcharge for all credit card payments.
22 conversion kits can be rented for an additional cost during course.
General Course Schedule:
Day01 0800-2300/UTC - flat range
Day02 0900-2330/UTC - covered steel range
Day03 0900-1700 - flat range
Individual packing list:
M4/AR15 type rifle with;
-Sling
-Quality mounted tactical light
-Iron sights *zeroed*
-Optics (Aimpoint, EOTech, ACOG, etc) *zeroed*
-8, quality 30rd magazines minimum
-Mag pouches/Rack/Battlebelt/Etc to carry a minimum of 4 magazines on you during drills
-Cleaning/maintenance kit
-22 conversion kit or dedicated rifle (like M&P15/22) with a minimum of 5 high capacity magazines
Weapon lubricant
Eye pro for day & night
Ear pro - electronic hearing pro is recommended but not required
Tactical gloves
Elbow/knee pads
Appropriate clothing for training & weather (no shorts or sandals)
Quality handheld tactical light
Extra batteries
Pistol with;
-Quality leather or kydex, strongside, belted holster (no paddles)
-Quality leather or kydex
-Cleaning/maintenance kit
-3 to 5 high capacity magazines
Stool/folding chair
Sunblock
Insect repellant
Hat
Food, water & snacks (*Chow breaks are typically short. You will not have time to go to town and eat)
Pen & paper for notes
Paint pen
Large marker
Cameras are allowed
1st aid/booboo kit for cuts, bruises, burns, headaches...
Munitions:
Rifle - 1500rds ball (no greentip or AP ammo allowed during course)
Pistol - 200rds ball
.22 - 1500rds copper jacketed, high velocity

All course slots will be held on a first come, first served basis upon successful & complete registration.
No course slot will be reserved or held until the applicant has submitted a completed registration form, meets the individual & US Citizen criteria and has made the required course deposit.
