Played with the new toy today.
Finally had time to take the new toy to the range.

Here are the results at 7 yards.
Not bad for the first time out with a new gun.
Definitely room for improvement, but needless to say that if a small person breaks into my house he'll be leaving feet first.

Groupings could be tighter but 7 yards is quite a distance with a handgun.
A .40 caliber round is a pretty accurate setup. You will get much better with time.
Isn't shooting just the best stress relief!

Congrats on the new toy. As Dana noted, the groups can definitely tighten up. Based on those pictures, it looks like you are squeezing your grip towards the end of the trigger pull, which explains why a significant number of the rounds penetrate in the lower left corner.
As with anything, practice will make perfect. Unfortunately, that means $$$.
good luck.

You can always put some snap caps randomly in your mag so you see how bad you flinch when expecting it to fire.

Grouping could be better, Try having them all close to each other.
At least only one went wizzing into the crowd.
Show us your piece (no homo)
EDIT: Just saw the link. Nice SIG.
