Jon, you should really give Jeff a call. He builds TT motors and has experience with the Ultima chassis. I suspect he may be well within your budget range too.

sorry for reviving old thread, but i was just bored out of my mind and was browsing older threads,and realized i somehow missed this one! holy cow this is a cool car! and to my surprise i also realized another thing, i actually saw you a few days back at the gym by the beach (did not know it was you though)! small world!
was wondering, are you driving this car to monaco some day? how did you solve the issue with speed bumps? lifting system? i was looking myself for a fun car to mess around with, and was looking at something like ariel atom (dont like, too ugly) or bac mono, which lacks power, but certainly is a step in the right direction. i know you want to go a "crazy route" with the engine choice, but i think you should consider audi rs6 engine as a reliable and i would imagine a cost efficient alternative (like the one in the gumpert apollo if i am not mistaken). then there always is the r8 engine (have to look for a wrecked car though i guess).

Car is coming along, still debating on a "crazy" engine choice or a "smart" one. Made the call today to decided before friday...
