AWD, i agree on the leadership part and even though i deny it i am completely aware that terry is the heart and soul of the club but i honestly believe his role can be behind the scenes; his defense is great yes but i think it is better to move on now. luiz going forward is a great plus but he tends to be caught on the counter haha so he needs to practice on turns! do you remember how cahill turned when gomez was clear? THAT was a great move i thought and if gomez's shot was on target maybe just maybe cahill could've had a foot to it

as for Lamps, just like Giggs, i think he has 5 more yrs in him if he wanted!! at the rate he's playing and how he seems to be a true professional, i think he can be a whole new type of player - something which is we have been seeing now even, he's not shooting from range and not making dashes.. his timing to get into the box is second to none imho and his corners win CL finals

first hernandez and now sturridge, imho those guys are evolving and can be the next top scorers in their leagues. sturridge is very trigger happy at the moment and he shoots a lot of balls that mess up his stats but at least he's confident.
i think he has great potential

Agree about Sturridge, at the moment he is a bit raw, but I think he has potential. he's still a young player, you cant discout him yet.

Hargreaves has been a major bust if you ask me, he had such a bright future before all the injury issues caught up with him.

Gareth Bale better prepare himself for another depressing season if he stays at Tottenham. Chelsea wont be in the same position next year as they were this year. AVB screwed us big time....

I feel bad for Hargreaves. He was one of my favorite players - such an outstanding holding midfielder. He was a huge reason for United's success in 2008. With him managing possession ahead of the back four, he allowed Ronaldo, Tevez, Rooney, etc. to rampage at will. His injury was a big loss to United and England. As for leaving to play for City, he was trying to earn a wage. Not happy about it, but I understand.

I wish him well and hope he finds a pundit job somewhere.
