he was alongside Lineker, Shearer, and Hoddle on Al-Jazeera Sport for the CL final. they are the mid-east broadcaster for CL, La Liga, and Serie A but have many studios and different "guests"

I don't believe that.

A one year contract works for everyone, Di Matteo has done very, very well in the past 3 months but surely he's not delusional to think that warrants a long term contract?

Everybody knows that Abramovich isn't worried about firing managers anyway.

He'd be a fool not to accept a 1 year deal.

Maybe he wants out, and this is an easy way to save face. Abramovich will be blamed for not agreeing to the long-term contract if Chelsea doesn't do well next season, and RDM will be given more credit for their CL success this season.

RDM has a better chance at a long-term contract with another team, and maybe this is part of that process. Staying at Chelsea one more year could be a huge gamble for him, as Chelsea not living up to expectations would lower his coaching stock tremendously. Now is his best chance at a secure coaching gig in my opinion.

I can see both side's of the argument, but I think leaving now is actually the best move for him if he is only thinking about cashing in. His stock will probably never be higher.

Everything I've read says Juve are no longer pursuing RVP. Of all the teams interested, I'd definitely prefer he went there, though.

Italy would be a bad career move for RVP if he ever wants to play a full season of football.

Lavezzi and Hazard to Man U would satisfy me greatly.
