Some new gossip:
Arsenal finally admit they will sell forward Robin van Persie, 28, for £30m - and Gunners winger Theo Walcott, 23, could follow him out of the door.
Manchester United are gearing up to take advantage of Harry Redknapp's departure as Tottenham manager by signing two of the London club's best players - midfielder Luka Modric, 26, and winger Gareth Bale, 22.
Andre Villas-Boas has reportedly been handed a three-year deal to take over as Tottenham manager.

Modric and Bale? Hmmm... So Valencia on one wing, Modric and Carrick in the middle, Bale on the other wing. That could work. I'd prefer United find a holding midfielder in the Keane/Hargreaves/Makelele role. They need some steel in front of the back four - it would allow all the above midfielders plus Rooney and Welbeck to be on full-attack all the time. I really wish United had picked up Gattuso or Daniele De Rossi - they would fit the bill perfectly.

I'm so tired of Sturridge already, please sell.
Sturridge Blames Chelsea For Not Going To Euros
by David on June 18, 2012
Daniel Sturridge is reported to be blaming Roberto Di Matteo for missing out on *England’s Euro 2012 squad.
Sturridge was a regular in the side under Andre *Villas-Boas, but was dropped to the bench under Di Matteo who preferred Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres and *Salomon Kalou.
Sturridge’s current Chelsea contract expires in 2014 and Chelsea seem reluctant to extend his deal, worth £65,000-a-week, even though he scored 13 goals last season.
Daniel Sturridge should take a long look himself in the mirror as it was his poor, and often selfish play, in the second half of the season that caused Di Matteo to drop him.
Under Di Matteo it was very much a team effort, with everyone working hard for each other. That is not Sturridge. He is in it for him.
Plus Sturridge spent most of last season complaining about being played out on the right instead of his preferred position, as center forward.

This is a golden opportunity for ManU to buy the best players from Totteham. They must realize it too. With those two players I think they have a great chance of winning some trophies next year.
Selling RVP for £30m would be a wise decision imo. Get Giroud for £12M to fill the gap and add M'Vila plus a class cetral defender (rumours say Mathieu Debuchy) and Arsenal will be back fighting for the top position. Let's hope Barca, Madrid and City open up their wallets

I cant wait to see Tottenham next year, they are going to be a shadow of the team they were this year. With Harry gone, all their stars will want to leave, and they'll be exactly where they were before Harry took over, or worse.

Playing for AVB, I'd call in sick.
