NBA Playoffs - I can't wait!

1. Lakers are the 2-time defending champs and still the team to beat.
2. The Celtics won't make it to the finals, trading Perkins was an awful move, especially with the extent to which Shaq is hobbled. The will get killed in the paint by the Heat.
3. Watch out for the Magic, if they get hot they can beat anybody, especially Chicago.
Having said that, I think Bynum doesn't last and the Lakers struggle in the western finals and lose to the Spurs. In the east, the Magic will beat the Bulls and play the heat in the conference semis. IF they hold LeBron and D-Wade under a combined 60 points per game, they will make it to the finals.
My prediction: Magic over Spurs in 7!

i can't argue w/ anything you wrote - i more or less agree. Bulls are not battle-tested; Magic are. i can see the C's beating the Heat, i'll never discount them after last year, but Howard will tear them up in the conf finals. i don't like the Magic's chances against the Heat - they just haven't shown they can contain LBJ & DW.

Lakers, Phil, and Kobe put 250k on New Orleans moneyline today to make up for the recent fines by the NBA. Now that that they are now square (+ a few dollars for their troubles), they will start playing.
