Nate gone, Miguel now... I think Dana needs to suspend and fine. This firing stuff is definitely sending a message, but if you're going to do it, you have to be even across the board in how behavioral problems are addressed, reviewed and penalized. Griffin, Leben, Sonnen, Evans, they'd all be fired potentially. I understand case-by-case basis, but the first step should be fine and suspension, apology, etc. Ending the career is too much for a tweet or a verbal statement. Gotta have a basic system of checks and balances, and that's not just "whatever Dana feels like doing". These fighters already get screwed on low fight purses and lack of a time period or seasonal aspect in their contracts, so any additional instability just makes the job that much harder to commit to full-time. If that's the case, then the ranks gets made up of part-timers who have a day job to pay the bills. At that point, it's a glamorous hobby rather than a pro sport.
