I voted for the latter; but then again if the greatest Coaches (which I think he's one of them) make mistakes. And it's not usually small ones.

30 yards or 70 yards, you're not stopping Manning. End of story. Brady could and did have those 2 yards.

I would do it all day with Brady and his weapons. This should be a wake up call for the defense. They need to get their act together. You should win every game where you put up 34 points period. The press will get on Bill's ass because he doesn't pay attention to them so this is a good opportunity for them to say he F'd up. At the end of the day NE knows it can score on the Colts at home at will, so home field advantage is no big deal come the playoffs. Hell the Colts almost lost to the 49ers at home and they are at best a 7 and 9 team this year.

He knew his defense was done and Manning would get it done if he punted. I think it was the right call given the fact that the defense was out of gas...
