Barcelona Close In On Title
Too bad its 3-3 right now... I guess we need to wait a little longer

Barcelona President Joan Laporta has stated that he expects a 'great day' as his club can clinch the Spanish League title this afternoon with defeat of Villarreal at Camp Nou this evening.
Rivals Real Madrid were crushed 3-0 by Valencia at the Mestalla on Saturday evening, which means that the Catalan giants can gain an unassailable lead with victory over Los Submarinos Amarillos tonight.
Spanish publication Sport reports that Laporta admitted he did not see Madrid's defeat, and instead was concentrating on clinching the League title as soon as possible.
He said, "Now we have a great day. We have our first 'match ball' of the season, and we hope to be crowned league champions.
"I would like to take the league, and the sooner the better. This means we can look forward to the Copa Del Rey without emergencies."
Barcelona face Athletic Bilbao in Spain's domestic cup final on Wednesday evening, as part of their bid to land a unique treble of Primera Division, Copa Del Rey and Champions League.
However, Laporta was quick to acknowledge the threat of Villarreal, who themselves still have aspirations of landing a Champions League position, and are desperate for points.
Laporta added, "We are at the end of the season, and all teams want to achieve their goals.
"We have a very difficult opponent who are fighting for a spot in the Champions League who will not be easy to beat, but we have the capabilities to do so."
