man utd's 2011 title?

so, 2-1 chelsea
only second defeat in the league this season after wolves

giggs (my utd hero even though i do not support the club) acted like a child at wolves, and yesterday vidic shows that he just cannot play proper football if there was pressure of losing

what the hell?

discuss utd's hope of winning the title at this moment

arsenal can now take it into their own hands, and i think i wish to see them win it because they have an unbelievably faithful fanbase (although sometimes they cannot admit they aren't the greatest lol)

i do not wish to listen to wenger brag though, that will be the worst of it lol

so, united or arsenal for the title?

ps: as a chelsea fan, i wish both struggle but i am trying to stay realistic

I'm hoping Man U can still take it this year after today's 2nd half debacle. We controlled the first half of the game and came out a little slow for the 2nd half - the key was not having Berba start the 2nd half which would have slowed the tempo of the game giving us the chance to counter attack a pressing Chelsea.

We were by far the better team but lost control a bit. The penalty call was correct though Smalling can't be blamed. The red card was also the correct call, Vidic got beat and probably did the right thing. Both teams should have finished the match with ten players.

I question the Giggs substitution for Scholes, should have been Fletcher.

i could only watch the second half, and it was refreshing to see an end-to-end match, it felt like watching champions league 2nd leg football.
i agree, Luiz was extremely lucky to have stayed on
watching only the 2nd half, i too was surprised Hernandez was still on.

i am just happy Chelsea fought back and against United nonetheless, hopefully this will boost confidence

let's hear from the Arsenal fans

You win some - you lose some. United usually wins.

Probably one of the funniest comments I've ever read on TS. The Yankees aren't even close. We are talking about the most popular sports franchise in the entire world here.

Do you have to actually win a beauty pageant to make the team, or just have a hairdresser who knows how to do highlights?

This article explains why I will choose not to like them, EXACTLY like the Yankees.

After this season, there will be a lot more of us...

We've got an almost impossible week after this one at Barca and Man U. within 4 days with up to 5 first-teamers out. It will be a major test, to say the least. No Walcott, no Van Persie, maybe no Fabregas, dumb and dumber in defense and goal.

Basically we need Nasri, Wilshere and Bendtner to play their asses off - like they did today - and Chamakh to maybe step in and return to his early season form. And those once-proud Eastern Euros to wake up - I don't know what's up with Rosicky lately! And mostly someone to defend a little. We've given away the farm in the last minutes of almost every recent game.

Honestly, it's a tough road, but we've really held it together this year. For all the pomp of Man U. this season, we're still just one point back on even games (with a win in that game-in-hand, of course ). We've proven we can win (or lose, sadly) any game this year.

Bring it on!
