Man U has never suffered from just letting one player go, you just have to look at Becks, Ruud V, even Keane. Fergie isnt the type of the manager who builds a team around 1 player, he buys players who he can mold into his system, that is why they have been so succesful for so many years.

At this point you'd probably have to look at Nani, who knows where he would be in a 2-4 years with a regular starting spot.

Why do I get a strange feeling that the next No.7 player is gonna be a dutch player playing off the striker on the "right"?
