No point in cashing in if you can't buy a BETTER replacement. If United wins the quadruple, then I could see him letting Ronaldo go. What I don't get is why Ronaldo would leave when United is riding high... Wait until United slips to 2nd/3rd in the league again and gets knocked out of CL contention early. Yes, 2004 was a painful season...

I think we are all underestimating his ego and boyhood desire to play for Real.
We all look at Ronaldo as having the perfect gig right now, but I have a feeling he looks at Real as another notch in his belt if he can bring them the same type of accomplishments as he has at Man U.
I honestly believe this will be his last season in England. I think Fergie has convinced him to play out this season with the promise that after that he can go to Madrid.
