Nice! Well, if automatic means that you'll actually drive it more, it means more 993s on the road, thus - the world becomes a little bit better!

Virtually no experience with deep dish though, sorry. I am usually too preoccupied with changing gears and being awesome to think about wheels

Kidding aside - huge congrats mang, it's a great addition to your awesome stable!!

haha, thanks man appreciate it
tbh i am already being put off by wheel prices online
~$4k before shipping and tires? please!
let's see how this plays out

already emailed sellers regarding: clear front signals, clear fender signals, red taillights, and new headlamp covers.
not 100% yet sold on the turbo S fogs/ducts for the Targa. would it be fitting?

will look into price of getting new carpets + new paintjob (95% set on riviera blue so far) next week

Damn, you do have plans indeed. LOVE riviera blue!! What about 996TT wheels? Always loved them on 993s. Oh and don't forget to check out German eBay for parts - I picked up a set of new, unopened OEM TT-S fogs/ducts a while ago for under 100 bucks shipped to my door! I think they look fantastic on all variants, definitely go for it!

And red tails are indeed a must, in fact I just picked up a second pair I saw for sale just in case - they are getting harder and harder to come by! In ten years I will trade them for gold, women and wine!!

+1 on riviera blue, earlier today i saw a speed yellow targa online and thought "hmm" but 5 minutes later i started fantasizing about a riviera blue 993 again, as i have been doing for the past, wow this is actually true: 11 years?

i love the twisted spoke wheels as well, but to be honest they don't give that much additional character imho for what i have in mind. my v12 r129 came with 17" lorinsers which SUCKED and made the car jittery, but boy did it look badass with the small lip in the back when it was rolling! i have the same dreams for the 993.

i found a set of those wheels for sale (SSR GT3), but price of shipping would be $700 alone before customs so all of a sudden the targa 17"s are looking mighty attractive right now

and jox, i am sorry for not getting a manual, sincerely
will you be willing to let go of the TTS fogs/ducts for 150?

i am trying to find the red tails for $300 because that is the reference price i found a pair on eBay i am working on. is that realistic? can i do better? check PM for more info on a few other tidbits i found

this is just the strangest car purchase EVER!!!!!
no one is returning my calls, so i am thinking: wtf, if he doesn't want to sell now, at least call me to return my ID. right?
so i get on to the Ministry of Interior website, check their Traffic services, and i run a check on my Civil ID number

and voila!! i find a new car plate registered in my name !!!!

i did not pay a dime to anyone yet
and i have no idea where my ID and new papers for the car are

why can't anything go according to plan plain normally for me

Lighting modifications:

red tail lights

TTS fogs/ducts

oval side markers (clear)

clear turn signals

Body modifications:

2 piece RS front spoiler

Carrera 2S rear split spoiler

Wheels modifications:

i was put off by prices of sets online + shipping costs to kuwait, it just does not make sense. i have always appreciated the Targa 17"s for their design, and the other day i asked a friend to take a spin so i can see how they look rolling. i was happy to observe that their size is excellent relative to the 993's body, however i did think wider tires/filling fenders would yield the exact look i want for the car. so i will have to continue the deep-lip hunt locally/GCC countries where i make a trip out of it and come back bearing goods

Interior modifications

i was quoted $800 for a carpet change, which i think is absolute BS. i am thinking if i swap the carpets (if i am not happy with how they look after cleaning), i might as well re-do the steering wheel (sun/weather has not been kind) in the same colour for a personalised effect. right?

i was so happy to learn that my car has the "Supple leather" option, as it now makes sense why they feel so different to the red 993 i test drove. i like the seats' leather colour, the wood colour, as well as the leather dash/sides (never realized this was an option neither, happy) but the dash/sides need proper treatment.
so really, the carpets are the only down side of the interior.
GT3/bucket/sport seats are all cool ideas but do not fit with my intentions for the car + again pricing/shipping makes it comical.
might want to eliminate the 4-cassette holder and make space.

Paintjob

the turquoise is really growing on me, i will get you guys some sun shots to see what i'm talking about. however, a riviera blue 993 is a boyhood dream of mine, and with the RS/C2S spoilers, the TTS fogs and clear/red lights, i think it will look 5 times better

i am open to any suggestions and opinions regarding lights/body/interior/exterior as i am going to take my sweet time with the 993 since work is starting next week (might have more classes) and i have other cars to attend to/spend on.
