actually that specific car had a Carrera S badge on it so it's not the same car, although i don't remember its interior colour
interesting...thanks for your input.

personally, i do NOT mind the body + interior work. in fact, bodywork is kind of impressive. i am not a purist in that sense and do not care if a car was even in an accident if it was addressed correctly. owner seems like a straight shooter and i like his disclosure. papers seem legit + easily double checked.
my pov is: you will know once you drive it.
the engine/tranny rebuild will require a 993 expert to drive it as well to recognize if anything needs work.

what are YOU thinking?
Much less actually, the price is somewhere in that email I think. now the question is how do I convince the wife how we don't need furniture for the new place, but we NEED a 993 in the garage

just checked again, not in the email. but i did find it on the site, 6700kd = 9100bhd is what he is asking.
what is he offering at as a final price for you? i think the price is the most important thing regardless of the work done on the car and its shape now

just wanted to put this thread to rest with a positive note
all things i set out to do are finally DONE

exterior looks from spoiler/decklid/calipers/tts fogs etc, seat adjustment, carpet cleaning, turn signal lever fixed, working obc light with functions, brake pads, running odometer, pretty much everything to make it finally worthy to be invited into THE COLLECTION

i am really proud of this car now, i can't imagine how many hours i spent researching, driving, and working on it! in hindsight it is all SO WORTH IT and i'm happy i committed to getting it all completed

readers from the future:
if your roads permit it, get a 6speed. if not, the auto is incredibly fine but be prepared to drive it in tip-mode for a fun drive.
do not believe that the 993 is worthless if it is not a turbo, that "opinion" is worthless

I like your 993 a lot, even if it is a tip haha. That color is great, glad you didn't paint it. Keep enjoying man, it's an awesome car!

i had a very thorough look at the car today, and from when i did the brake pad swap i noticed that i have to change some ball joints (lost in translation) at the front, i will get on that sometime in March i hope. i think i can feel it sometimes when i am rolling at around 40-60kmh for an extended period (traffic) so it will be easy to test to make sure it has been taken care of. otherwise all was well, and today i had a very thorough look at the back from down under, extremely happy as well

i was bummed a bit to find this ding in the passenger's door, i don't recall noticing it before but at eye level it was annoying. there is a shop locally that i heard about that can take care of it but i don't reckon i have the time nor interest to be honest
i also finally found out what all the guys over at fchat are on about with skid plates
took care of the ecu fault while waiting for the oil to heat up, the exclamation light would come on 3 seconds after start-up because we took the steering wheel apart without disconnecting the battery

interior wise, it would be really nice to re-do the steering wheel airbag section. not pressing. a carpet change is always an idea but the originals aren't filthy anymore after a professional clean-up so that is not on the books for now. totally not worth it financially either

wheel caps!!!!! lol i think i am in dire need of coloured ones
