Cars are for driving and old cars are not any fun to drive the steering sucks , the brakes suck. Ask Jamie why he sold his F40 or H20 why he doesn't own an F40..people who have never owned or driven these cars are enamored with them but in reality whats the point. Guys like Leno and Nick Mason and others who have priceless cars use them and drive them but to own it and park it, its a mechanical device they need to be used not sit around and be maintained...I am not offending Highline he has some nice cars but these type of things make no sense to me and I am entitled to an opinion.

Much more fun to drive an old car fast than a new car slow.
Marc, maybe all the old cars you've driven have been beat and unkept. My experience with old cars is 100% the opposite of yours.
Jamie didn't sell his F40 because the brakes and steering sucked...and he didn't own it long enough for it to "sit around", not sure what you're getting at.

Wow, my view couldn't be more opposite. The joy in driving an old air cooled car is a world of difference to driving an essentially numb modern car with more three-letter safety combos than extra pounds added for various unnecessary interior luxuries. It couldn't be more different - for pure, unfiltered driving joy I wouldn't swap a 911SC for a 997RS.

I owned a very mint 1980's 911 and 928 ... I have owned 40+ cars in 25 years of driving...old cars are no fun day to day as well for Jamie's impressions read here.
