I want Kobayashi in the other Ferrari. I know he's not an Alonso, but he is young, he's already "in" with Ferrari powertrains pushing the Saubers, and he's not shy about overtaking Alonso.

Great fun, indeed.

Doesn't Vettel have it written into his contract that if Ferrari offers him a better deal, he can take it? Or was that just if Red Bull failed to offer a competitive car?

I distinctly remember people scoffing at the notion of Kubica replacing Massa as if Massa was much better.

I never really liked the guy. Cocky as hell and nothing to show for it.

i would love to see webber finish out his career in a red car, he's the most genuine guy on the grid and an old school racer. ferrari would be lucky to have him.

I think what did in Massa was Schumi going to MB. Massa was Schumacher's boy, and Michael Schumacher was Ferrari's favorite son. By going to MB, anything associated with Schumi stinks like betrayal. Alonso drove the stake into Schumi's heart at the end of MS' career - now MS is the enemy. The traitor. Massa is the traitor's buddy, Alonso is his enemy.

Dramatic, sure - but probably not too far off.

Ferrari needs someone who'll last more than 1 or 2 seasons in the car.

I don't know about all of that.

But it's in Vettel's contract that as long as he is winning in their car or performing to their standards, they can make him stay.

Everyone dreams of driving for Ferrari.

Massa's done - I hope to see Kubica make a full recovery and take his place - Kubica in a Ferrari or McLaren would be an interesting combination
