Petrov joins Kubica as Renault reveals R30 - Formula 1 news - GPUpdate.net
Vitaly Petrov will become the first Russian driver in Formula 1 history this season as he partners Poland's Robert Kubica at Renault. The Enstone team's 2010 R30 car was revealed in Valencia on Sunday afternoon, with Jérôme D'Ambrosio and Ho-Pin Tung lining up as test drivers.
With Sauber having been the first of two teams to reveal its new car in Valencia on Sunday, the unveiling of Renault's R30 sees the now Genii Capital-owned squad - which rejoined Formula 1 as a works team for 2002 - revert to its traditional yellow and black colours, first seen for its F1 debut in 1978.
2009 GP2 runner-up Petrov has long since been tipped as a Renault driver for this season and the 25-year-old from Vyborg is the first Russian ever to enter F1.
Test drivers D'Ambrosio and Tung, Belgian and Dutch-Chinese respectively, are part of the Gravity Sport driver management company run by Genii owner Gerard Lopez.
Renault's R30 will be out on track in the hands of Kubica on Monday morning.
