Schumi hasn't driven the F60 yet, but it will be nice to see the GOAT racing again.

Massa in induced coma

Doctors have placed Felipe Massa into an induced coma in order to relieve stress to the Brazilian's brain after his heavy accident in qualifying at the Hungaroring on Saturday. The Ferrari driver was woken on Sunday morning in order to undergo a brain scan which showed no overnight complications.

It has been revealed that Massa's accident saw the 800 gramme metal damper of Rubens Barrichello's car first hit the underside of the Ferrari, to the left of the cockpit, before flicking up and striking the driver on the helmet, causing concussion and a fractured skull in the area of the left eye socket.

Placed into the induced coma on Sunday morning after his CT scan, Massa will remain in the state for 48 hours before being woken again on Tuesday morning. At this early stage, no news of his return to the cockpit has been stated although Felipe may not been seen racing for the remainder of the year.

I read that they're going to intermittently wake him during the 48 hours.

Terrible misfortune. I really hope he recovers from this fully.

Wow. That's just terrible! The commentators on FOX announced that he is expected to make a full recovery though.

The suggestion was also made that perhaps Barrichello's spring bounced off the new "safety humps" around the cockpit.

Blind luck saved his life. That's a lot of force to take to the noggin.
