From what I understand, Dana was wearing a thick, leather riding jacket. No other vehicle was involved; the motorist that saw it happen said it looked like Dana hit some gravel and lost control. I'm not sure what mile it happened at, but I'm trying to learn those details. I spoke with his wife today, and she says he's more alert today than yesterday and things are going better today. If you want to send anything to him, he is at the Inland Valley Hospital ICU, Bed #4, in Wildomar, California. He will be in the ICU, I understand, through the weekend. They hope to transfer him to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo after that.
