Wow this is horrible news! I'm glad he's doing better and hopefully won't suffer any long term injuries from this. I bet the thought of driving his 360 is helping him with a speedy recovery.

I spoke with the guy, Mike, that found him after the crash. He said it happened about 4 turns after you begin to head down the hill towards Lake Elsinore from the top. He said he was shocked that he was not injured worse or killed because he fell into a bunch of man-placed jagged bolders that were about the size of watermellons. He was conscious when he ran down and got him and was able to keep him calm. Mike races 450cc dirt bikes and had been in a number of crashes himself, so he was able to joke for a minute with Dana to keep him relaxed.
