My New Golf R
#36
Congratulations on the new Golf R! Fantastic little rocket. My suggestion is to keep the stock wheels for now, the stockers look pretty good. Go for the Coilovers, exhaust and ECU upgrade for now. The rest you can do later if you want.

Thanks everyone! Right now I'm looking at the following goodies:
Carbonio intake, Akrapovic or Milltek exhaust (incl. downpipe), HPFP, possible front mount IC, KW variant 3s, clear sidemarkers (a must), APR reflash, BBS wheels, Porsche BBK
I'm deciding between these wheels (considered HREs, but too much $$$):
CH-R black

LM-R diamond black

RE diamond black

Or if I come up with the loot, HRE P40 in gloss charcoal:

Or if I come up with the loot, HRE P40 in gloss charcoal:

- get the EVOMS intake for K04 (better than Carbonio)
- Akrapovic haven't released and exhaust for the Golf R yet. I even offered to send my car to them for development but they said it's not on their to-do list. Go with Milltek TBE non-res (it's awesome)
- HPFP: go for HPFPupgrade Stage 2 kit (www.hpfpupgrade.com). Better than anything out there on the market
- Porsche BBK: if you will get the Cayenne BBK (6 pot) they are overkill for you master cylinder and ruin your brake bias. I recommend Alcon Mono4 for Golf R, or AP Racing BBK
- get the LED tails
Cheers and enjoy your car
