Yeah, it's pretty amazing how quick this car is out of the box. Can't wait to see what it'll do with a little tuning

TTRS not in the same league as Porsche, seriously, your cayman is a superb handling sports car.
The TTRS yes is quicker, thanks to an extra cyclinder and a blowdryer, but gives limited feedback and is quite sterile on the road
my 2c

Thanks for the feedback. I'm assuming you've driven or spent significant time behind the wheel of a TT-RS?

Curious where the 'extra cylinder' comes from (Porsche = 6, Audi = 5)?

To each his own, I guess. Thanks for reading.

Can't tell if serious or trolling.

Really though, your TT-RS looks superb. Congratulations.

Totally missed this, big congrats Krenshaw, I love the TT-RS. The car sounds incredible!

On the pic it looks like your car is a manual. How do you like the transmission? How is it compared to the transmission in the Cayman?
Is the S-tronic available in the US? I think with S-tronic and launch control the EU version with 340hp manages 0-100kmh in 4.1 sec which is unbelievable quick considering the amount of power.

Thanks Ludas! It really is a phenomenal machine.

As far as the transmission: Mine is a manual; S-tronic is not available in the US versions.

The gearbox 'feel' in my Cayman S was definitely a bit more precise than the TT-RS. It's not really a knock against the TT-RS, it's just that it took a little more effort to "find" 5th gear, for example. Although, now that I've got just over 1,000 miles on it, it seems to be much better (so who knows, it either needed a little break-in, or it could have just been been me getting used to it). The TT-RS shift throws are also a little shorter than the CS, which I really enjoy.

The 0-100 kph times on those EU S-tronic cars really are amazing. There's actually a YouTube vid of a guy in a US car, pulling off a 3.9 second 0-60 mph run. It would have been cool to see what the US version (with the added HP) could have done with an S-tronic. But, I have to admit, I still would have gotten the manual!
