Congrats on your new ride!!

while it really is quick and has a lot of grip, you can't really compare it to a CS when it comes to handling...
but maybe I`m just a midengine fanboi and love the CS for its precise steering and handling...

Thanks!

Don't get me wrong, I'm a midengine fanboi as well. I will definitely have another midengine car in my garage someday (hopefully Italian ). But the TT-RS really is amazingly well-composed & balanced -- at least in daily & spirited driving situations. However, I'm sure that out on the track it's 'frontengine flaws' would certainly come to light.

But, for my use and limited abilities behind the wheel, it handles more than adequately!

Figured I'd chime in this thread since I'm one of the Audi gurus on this forum .

Here is what's in the works for the TT-RS.

I'll leave it at this for now! Enjoy & stay tuned!

^^ I've been anxiously following APR's progress over on Fourtitude. Their turbo setup looks amazing -- I'm just waiting to see the numbers from their ECU tune. I'm expecting some big numbers!

THANK YOU! I will definitely contact you. Especially since I think I'll be planning to have an AWE exhaust to go along with that ECU tune.

APR stage 1 and 2 will be based on the factory turbo.
Stage 3 will be that big turbo.
I would liked it more when they had turn the turbo 180º with the cold side near the airbox.
That way the air intake would not run over and along side the turbo manifold.

Looking good ... what size and brand of snow tires are you running?
We're placing our RS order this weekend and I'm still trying to decide between Ibis White, Sepang Blue and Suzuka Gray ...

Thanks Dave! Congrats on the future order. I'm biased, but Suzuka is hands-down the best color for this car. It's nice & clean like Ibis, but I think it shows the lines much better. Plus, right now my car is filthy and it still looks great... and when it's clean, the depth of the color is awesome. Anyway, good luck with your choice!

To tell the truth, I'm still running the stock summer performance tires right now. With the weather being so warm and snow-less around here lately, I'm going to try to run out the stock tires as long as I can (I've got a winter beater to fall back on if I need to). My plan is to eventually put some snow tires on the stock wheels and go with a nice summer wheel/tire setup.

For snows, I can't recommend Blizzaks highly enough. I went through two sets on my wife's A4 and, coupled with the AWD, they were brilliant. I also had them on my FWD Acura a few years back and they will still terrific. So, I'm hoping I can find them in the stock size when the time comes.

I had Michelin Alpins on my Cayman S when I ran it in the winter and while they were excellent in dry and wet conditions, they left a little to be desired when the snow started to fall. I realize that the cars I'm talking about are pretty much apples and oranges, but I just had an overall better experience with the Blizzaks (snow grip, treadwear, noise, etc.).
