So....
I decided to stick to my first choice and not change to any of the above...
Got the call and went directly to the dealer to watch them open up the box labeled K1300R.

It looked grrreat!!! The color and LEDs everything... but wait looks like it is missing something. Where is the ABS? Let us have a look at the spec sheet shall we, no ABS! NO TC? NO ANTI WHEELY? WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!
The dealer screwed up my order and my f'n mood and my willingness to buy the bike, even with a significant discount. I ended up canceling a car due to that day...

BUT last night I tried a friends K1300R and what a bike!!!

The shift assist was incredible and with the anti-wheely on that thing was worry free out of the lights and onto the straight. Amazing! The humidity level was kinda high so the traction control kicked in two or three time... first time on a bike with so many rider assist options. Next time I am on that beast I am turning everything off!!!

Oh and I might need to think again about this bike...

I have a 97 R1100RS and ABS has spoiled me. I do not think I could own another bike without it. TC, and anti wheely thing... TC I can understand in a sandy or rainy environ. However my bike is hard pressed to raise the front wheel with anything short of a clutch drop in 1st.

Does it have the "anti-dive" geometry up front when braking? I know very little about this bike.

It is definately a head turner.

With my "skill" level TC is a must
jokes aside it is sandy here and very humid so the TC really helps
The anti-wheely is not really needed but with the shift assest/repid shift you can see why its an option

I thought all BMW have the anti-dive... did not really feel it here only on the first few miles, but when I was on the GS it felt a little odd
