A worthy attempt by Chevy but this is a total miss. The new Corvette is like the ugly girl who got plastic surgery and is pretty now but still can't shake off her ugly past.

The Chevy designers (or American car designers in general) still don't understand what passion or flare is. They are dinosaurs compared to the European automakers.

There are a lot of "old schoolers" who hate all things digital, but most seem to be more concerned about reliability and maintenance than looks.

Well that's the other thing, those will be hugely expensive to replace if they go bad at the cost of the owner. But I wasn't really thinking about that as much as just the way it looks. Not a fan. I don't mind the S2000 digital clusters or other things along those lines where its only partially digital and its mainly the numbers, but this looks as if the whole gauge is digital. I think that's a little too much.

Sure the ZR1 is fast but not fast enough.
that statement is laughable.

I'm pretty sure a ZR1 would eat a GT3, R8 and possibly even a GTR.

I'm not even a Corvette guy, but this C7 'Vette actually looks pretty good, even better than the effeminate F458.

And if you are knocking the 'Vette's driving abilities, then you're going to lose the argument, these cars have always been fast, especially in Z06 and ZR1 form. I prefer mid- or rear-engine layout cars, but the Chevy small blocl is a proven motor, used by many race teams and tuners for years.

I'm going to buy one, but I will look at live in Detroit this Saturday.
