a new base model vette can be had for high 30's to low 40's brand new off the showroom floor.

what can compete?

have the sales slowed over the years?

arent there options on the vette? obviously not as many as the option king....

revs take longer to slow since the motor is larger...

the 6sp'd is nothing other than a real 6sp'd. whats the problem?

So you're suggesting the 6speed is a REAL 6speed....as opposed to?

And no it's not revving like that b/c it's a larger power plant. They can engineer simple mods to make it rev quicker- revving quicker means less energy is waisted actually SPINNING the engine componets and more energy is going right to the rear wheels.

aka reducing rotating mass allows the motor to rev up and down faster.

Something like this would help the Z06, greatly.

Corvette Z06 Transmission & Drivetrain - Fidanza Lightweight Flywheel

Depending on what you use the car for, you may or may not want it to lose revs quickly considering it is a traditional manual trans.

I never state/implied anything about the 997 6spd. I was commenting on not wanting to lose revs quickly depending on usage in relation to the Vette.

thanks for the schooling on how an engine works. mine works by the 100,000 mile warranty!

Interesting English.

I drive a Mercedes, and occasionally bring home a 911, Panamera, Boxster or Cayman, depending on when and what's laying around. Along with riding my Ducati.
Aside from that, I like Red Wine, long walks on the beach, women who are hot with large bewbies, and I dabble in the English language.

Ps. Have you EVER driven a 997 6 speed transmission? EVER??
