I went from 99 996 to a 2008 Z06 - no contest!
The Z06 runs rings around my old 996.
I also switched out the seats with Recaro GT3 seats and replaced a lot of key interior parts with nicer leather.

The problem is that even with everything you have done, the interior looks only okay. You definitely did a great job with your modifications, and you vastly improved the interior from it's original condition. I don't think there's much of an argument against a statement that the Vette needs a huge overhaul, inside and out.
Has anyone else heard of rumors of a major delay for the C7 coming out? Hopefully the rumors are not true.
