Here's an interesting gem I picked up elsewhere:
Also, interesting article stating no overhaul til 2015

The 2013 will be a TVS blown, 5.8L. The 5.8L will be based upon the existing 5.4 alum engine with the additional displacement coming from the plasma arc spray-in cylinder liner technology. The liner technology will allow for a larger bore diameter (use the room left by the iron liner), hence the increase in displacement.

I bet it will be SC. Although Shelby contacted Nelson Racing Engines to design them a Twin Turbo setup for them to sell. Called Code Red.
Have people on here commenting about Turbo vs SC driven both types? While a turbo makes more power it has that lag problem. This is why NA engines are always quoted to be more fun. SC is more like NA feel, but with more power. Turbos are also lighter and more efficient. Just depends on your goals.
As for Mustang vs Camaro, I'd take the ZL1. MRC + IRS = win. 550hp is enough. I just hope it has a new steering wheel.

Yeah everything I've read and seen points towards it being supercharged and that's what my money is on. I'd guess 5.8 with a TVS supercharger would do the job. Big question is when?
Originally I thought maybe they'd pull the 6.2 from the light/heavy duty's and put a blower on it but to go from an alum block to iron would be a huge step backwards. Now if they made an all aluminum 6.2 blown, that would be cool but not gonna happen IMO

^Supposedly the 5.8 is the 5.4 alum block with plasma transferred arc wire cylinder walls instead of sleeves. It won't be turbocharged. My guess is it shows up for 2013 because of the ZL1. Although they won't have to do much to compete with the ZL1 with the 5.4, tune and pulley.
