2013 Shelby GT500 Chases 200 MPH!
On this episode of Ignition, Carlos Lago tests the most powerful production car made in America - the new 2013 Ford Shelby GT500. After running the GT500 through Motor Trend's instrumented testing gauntlet, including top speed pulls on the dyno, we head to Kingman, Arizona, where pro racer Randy Pobst gets behind the wheel to see if Ford's 662-HP beast can break the elusive 200 mph barrier.

Hi guys, I have a doubt and maybe you can help. Once I move to the U.S I was thinking on buying a 997.2 C2S but many of my friends in Spain keeps telling me to buy a GT500. It is true that many of my friends and me love the Mustang and it is almost impossible to buy one in Europe, so maybe it is a good chance to try something completely different to what I see everyday. The doubt that I have is about what do Americans think about the Gt500 (Stereotype). I don't know for sure where will be relocated but looks like it could be San Francisco (San José) or Boston.
My will be driving the car that I buy as aun Everyday Car, I will get another car (Maybe SUV) From the company that I work for.
Thank you all!

Thanks for your answer, Scott. I know that they are different cars, I do like many and they are all different: C2S, GT-R, M5, M3, C63 Amg, CTS-V...
I do like all of them but I am more use to see all of them ( not the Cts-v) so a Muscle Car could be a good idea. I think that the New Gt500 is an amazing car, but maybe you guys think it is a hicks car. My wife will be driving that car from Monday to Friday.

Love the car. Really do. Hate the 'typical' American style of auto-journalism. It's boring and not a lot of fun.
The car will sell just fine I'm sure. I did however like his comments about being in 6th gear, at being able to pass-anyone-when you want to.
