2011 Mustang GT500

Also, that's a good point. My car doesn't have much of a backseat either (although my friends are always saying it's more comfortable than my buddy's Lexus IS350 sedan) but putting the seat backs down does give me a lot of extra storage space.

Honestly I am thinking about buying a '11 GT with the 5.0 and M6 to use as a daily driver. The crappy magazines are getting low 4's and high 12's out of them and they are dynoing 385-395 at the wheels. Get the premium package, Brembo package and gear package and you are only at about 35K. Add a blower for 4k and you have GT500 beater performance for 10K less. And this is coming from a GM guy....I think a grabber blue GT will look good next to my cyber gray Z.

first off let me say i love cyber gray z's so good on you. with that said, unless you are a "domestic only" guy i would pass on any mustang. besides the ridiculous deprecation the build quality is still pretty weak. if you need a beater car that seats four and is quick get something that has already had its biggest depreciation hit like an '05-'06 E55. there are so many options in the 35-40k range you can fill pretty much any need.

never heard the E55's had electrical gremlins, are you referring to the '05-'06 models specifically? i was under the impression those were sorted.
you know you could always get a 996TT...

i have driven one actually, a buddy of mine has an FGT and was given one as a loaner when his car was in for service. build quality has improved certainly but it is not at european/japanese levels yet im afraid. the loaner was an auto so maybe that skewed my perception but it didn't seem as fast as your claims as well. the most annoying aspect was encountering hs kids everywhere you go pestering you about it.

Alot of newer Benz's have electrical issues. I have friends that wanna burn theirs.
996TT is nice, but not what I am looking for in a daily driver. I wanna keep it below $40 grand with all mods. And I want a car that is cheap to maintain.

^Are we talking about the GT500? Or the regular V8 Mustang GT..
Because I call BS on the normal Mustang. Wouldn't be surprised by the GT500 running 11's though.
Edit: Ah crap, I just now realized this thread is about the GT500. I'm dumb.

Not to sure if you are aware, the '11 GT's have a new 412 HP 5.0 V8. The 4.6 mod motor is gone, '10 was the last year.
