And your point?

My points are still valid, unless you want to argue that. Then lets do that. - don't take pot-shots at me mkay?

And oh btw; I'd LOVE the Domestics to produce true German competitors. Having had several, including my 1st being a Mustang 5.0 LX- I'm a car junky first. Porsche sales manager 2nd.

cool?

If GM, or Chrysler went under the American job losses would have been devastating. I for one am glad we stepped in. GM has started the pay back already in case you didn't know.

The domestics due have German competitors, and beaters. The ZR1 and Z06 beat 99% of Porsches on the track and the CTS-V is a better performer then the M5, M6, S5, etc....and they all cost less and have better warranties.

I owned a 944, 968 and a 911, I loved them. I love all makes. But some people are just too biased....

Too biased? Because I want better cars from our OWN Country? Thats stupid.

It's called NOT tolerating the BS that they're producing. Sorry if I want and demand better from the Domestics.

Any one can go 'fast' 0-60. But use that arguement when a client has to take their Z06 back due to the POS roof 'glued' on the chassis coming off. I'm guessing that a fair amount of Z06 owners would be pretty irritated at that level of crappy fit and finish.

No, Porsche is not perfect, nor any other automaker. But they sure do build fantastically well put together and engineered cars. And despite your fire breathing V8 with all it's HP-

Just a measly 345hp will launch a bare bones basic C2 Coupe in 4.6 seconds; and you can drive the wheels off of it. And the roof wont come flying off.

I understand the risk of Americans losing jobs... but when companies put out cars like the PT Cruiser, HHR, and the Aztek how can they claim to be doing their best to protect their employees?

If I saw the company I worked for producing nothing but turds I would have jumped off that sinking ship years ago.

Government money doesn't solve the apparent problem of decades of completely ignorant decision making.

The failures of American companies have nobody to blame but themselves. We have a large population of lazy and unmotivated people who would rather assemble ugly part after ugly part to produce an ugly byproduct than actually show initiative to correct what is wrong and do good for themselves.

I myself have been part of a company that went bankrupt a few years ago, and there were a lot of lessons learned as a result. When you're on a sinking ship you don't try and band aid the product and draw out the death. You close the doors, pay your debts, and draw up a plan to do it better the next time.

You get knocked down and you learn from it. Government intervention has done nothing but prolong the much-needed reorganization and restructuring of modern industry. We are all paying and will be paying a lot of money to protect the "now" and f*ck up the "later" as a result.
