My picture certainly fits the description of that story you told, which would have been rather convenient for you if you'd found it first. However, I can be sure that image is not the imaginary F1 in your tale.

You must be able to come up with something similar though - a photo just like this one showing a dormant and neglected F1. Maybe you can't get a photo (plenty of excuses available there) but a chassis number shouldn't be too hard to produce - there's less than 100 to choose from. Come on now, we're all waiting and most of us have been very polite so far.

I'd heard a similar rumor too - interesting to see you repeating it.

Massive jump in price then in just the past two years if that's a selling price and not just an asking price. What is also surprising is the number of cars that have changed hands recently - that would typically not correlate with a great rise in prices.

I do think about the owners who got in between $1M-$2M USD who still have their cars and wonder if they'll be tempted to sell and take the profits?

listen mate , stop digging . there are few people on earth ( probably none ) including those at Mclaren that know more about these cars than Peloton . Just say it was a joke and move on eh ?

I'm not "digging", whatever that means, sorry I'm not very saavy with forum lingo. I had to go to Charleston for business and got back tonight.

It's okay, I'm not arguing anymore, my free time is too precious for that nonsense. The forum's ignore feature is great for situations like this.

Dude he is like the world's foremost expert on the McLaren F1. There were, oh, about 100 of them made. It's not that hard for him to use the process of elimination to determine whether or not there's one "unaccounted" for that happens to slumber in Eastern Tennessee. Unless you can provide a for real pic of the car, or a chassis number, you will get banned because you happened to lie about something and you got called out on it. Get some pics. No more excuses. No more travel, busy, my time is more valuable than yours. Pictures and/or chassis number, or ban.

I didn't say my time is more valuable than anyone else's, it just too valuable to argue. He was being a jerk, so I put him on ignore. I don't know who he is, why should I? During my time here I've only been helpful and gracious to other members. Then in this thread, before I can get the time to get info together, I'm abused and showered with profanity (nice comments in my rep notes). You guys wonder why this forum is so quiet, despite how many members it has? Look in the mirror.

They don't have to band me, hasta la vista.
