No - and I really would not have wanted to. The roads in Italy are a bit crazy and the drivers sometimes equally so. I think risking someone's multi-million dollar baby in that environment for my benefit would not have been a wise decision.
I did start #007 before we headed out on Thursday morning and shot a video of that sequence from the important seat which I will share later on.

There are paddles behind the steering wheel of all the road going McLaren F1s. The one actuated by your left finger tips operates the 'Flash-to-Pass' high beams. The one at your right finger tips operates the horn. During my drive on the second day both of these paddles were used quite liberally by my driver and did a great job of keeping us moving and his hands properly positioned on the wheel.
