That's great. Did you also go for the M Coupe lettering on dead pedal ? Aren't the guys at bmw pedals are great to work with ? Post some pics if you can.

A small update. We went with HKS type solution for the air filter until we come up with something neater and more effective.
Here's are recent shots of the engine with the airbox and custom lettering applied. (Disregard the blue piping. They will be replaced before we finish things off.)
Tomorrow, we'll do the ECU tuning for the airbox and try our first start up.Fingers crossed !

I could hardly fit the HKS filter but will look into AFE now that you mentioned it. I really don't like how the green hks gives the engine a boy racer look 
Unfortunately we had bad news as soon as we started it up. There was a rough idle and slight metal sound through the engine so immediately opened it back up. It turns out, the cylinder valves are all bent The machining shop should have measured them before sending to my mechanic but they somehow overlooked.
So now, I ordered new cylinder valves ( MEGA BUCKSSS !!! ) and will install them on Tuesday and try another start up. Fingers crossed... Well at least now I know the engine is practically brand new !

Yes... The engine is now FULLY rebuilt !
Here are some of the new cylinder valves,
And the cylinder head polished, blueprinted and cleaned,
New valve sleeves mounted,
Later, the valves and the head was mated and now back at my mechanic. Tomorrow, they will reinstall the head and hopefully finish up the engine the next day and then ignition again. Hopefully with a better outcome. Fingers crossed !
