On a side note, does anyone know how the M3s (E92 / E93) fare as far as MPG? I've heard they're not that much better if not about the same as the M5 / M6, can anyone shed some light on this?

Both my wife and I could only get about 13.5mpg on our E90 M3.

Just get a Warranty Direct extended warranty.

I have had it on my now departed E39 M5 and they were great.

My MIL had it on her E38 and they were great.

I've been looking for a few now and would only get a BMW Certified pre-owned.

Mine gets 14/17 mpg. It's pretty standard. I can't imagine what you would have to do to get 8 mpg other than idling in traffic for days or towing a boat.
Few 2007-2008 with around 35k miles going for 35k, 32k cash you take them home all day

I'm also debating getting one of these V10 monsters. Nothing new really holds my interest, not even the new M5. This or an S8 as these engines will probably never be produced again.

I found one with around 8,000KM's here and barely used. Belongs to a relative as well but at this stage I'm reading about them so I know what I'm getting into

exactly!!

And with your gas prices I would not think about it twice!

A V10 in a sedan or sports car coupe will not be seen too soon again
except Lambo decides to come up with something new,..but even then I doubt they would go for a V10 engine
