Spied: 2013 BMW M6 Gran Coupe Winter Testing

BMW's answer to the Mercedes CLS AMG and Audi S7 has been spotted again by our trusty Teamspeed spies during cold weather testing in Scandinavia. Sporting an aggressively styled deep front spoiler and wide fenders, the new M6 Gran Coupe looks the part of a power-packed, no nonsense muscle sedan. A set of quad exhaust pipes caps off the exterior styling we've come to expect from BMW's M Division.

Powered by the same high-revving turbocharged V8 engine as the M5 and M6 Coupe, the M6 Gran Coupe will pump out at minimum 560hp mated to BMW's latest seven-speed Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic.

Nice post DJ. Great pics! Is it just me or is BMW over extending its product line? They have a 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, i3, i8, x1,x3,x5, x6, all the M versions, various configurations of each listed, and some I’ve likely forgotten. Do we need a four-door 6 series? Probably not, but should be interesting. Looking forward to the four door 2M.

I was at BMW today helping my friend buy what in my opinion is the last true BMW and ///M (2012 M3 6spd) .. I have owned 3 BMWs (530, M5, and 135). They have diluted the brand to the point that I have no idea what BMW is doing - looks like its more a volume game for them now.

 

definitely agree with kimmspeed and uhn2000. the brand has become very diluted. dont know why but even when comparing bmw to mercedes, i feel as though bmw is in more of a disarray. imo of course

saw a blue Grand Coupe a few days ago and it looks way longer/bigger in the flesh...very elegant and beautiful imo!
