Spied: 2012 BMW Gran Coupe testing again

The Stretched 6er looks fantastic in a Black Suit

Here are some of the first photos of the new BMW 6 series Gran Coupe in black spotted by our trusty Teamspeed spies this morning in Germany. This Gran Coupe looks production ready and fantastic in a black suit! We mentioned last week that this is BMW's answer to the CLS from Mercedes and have to say that the BMW looks much more sporty the CLS yet retaining the elegance we fell in love with when the concept was first displayed.

The front and rear looks just like the BMW 6 coupe but BMW has managed to squeeze in a pair or rear doors in the slightly elongate body. Engines will be the same as we know from the regular 6 series Coupe and Convertible.Still no word on an M variant but we expect the Bavarian boys to challenge the CLS 63 AMG in the near future!

It's a great looking car, but it looks too much like a 5 and 7 series. Don't know how this fits in like a CLS does in Merc's lineup.

It looks funny, Aston barely pulled it off with the Rapide interms of purely looks. This looks really funny, at least the CLS and A7 look "good" as 4door coupe.

Can't wait to see the M version of the this. I think this will be one of the prettiest BMW sedans ever made - classy and sporty.

Calling that a coupe is a bit of a stretch. Why wouldn't you just but a 7 series?

I really don't like it.
It's like they were afraid to take it a little bit further, the styling just looks too plain. looks more like a 5 series than something that should be special
