Need advice on replacement tires for my E92 M3
#21
The e92 M3 did not come with run flats. They come with Michelin PS2s, or Continentals (Continsport Contact 3), or in some markets, the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups.
If the OP's car has a Mobility kit, this in itself precludes the possibility of having run flats. Is that not the purpose of a run-flat tire - you don't have to do anything to it, and yet you can drive on it uninflated, for short distances?
I'm willing to bet that the tires on the OP's car are not run flats, unless in Kuwait, things are different - unlikely, though, given that he has a Mobility kit!
To answer his query, though, I'd be all over the new Michelin Supersports! GREAT tire!!!

Hey all,
Really appreciate all the feedback!
I purchased my new set of tires right before the New Year: a set of Hankook Ventus ZR tires (245/35 ZR-19s in the front; 275/35 ZR-19s in the rear). In the rear, I was supposed to use 265/35 ZR-19s but they did not have them in stock. I figured that when you look at the cost benefit over the Michelin tires, I could risk purchasing the Hankooks at this point; especially since the car tends to stay parked for long periods (not a daily driver).
So far, so good. The Hankooks provide generous amounts of grip, enough for street driving anyways. I'll let you all know how it turns out for me.
Cheers and thanks again for all the help!

@MC321: Thanks man!
@BRN9121: So far so good, so it seems like a wise choice (at this point lol).
I was a bit hesitant about the whole rear tire-spec issue, but I haven't felt that huge of a difference till date. I'm sure if I was to track it, there would be a difference felt. Will keep you posted.
