Need advice on replacement tires for my E92 M3
Hey all,
I am looking to replace my run-flat Michelin tires on my E92 M3 (19-inchers). I have been told to try the Dunlop Sport Maxx ZR rated tires, but I wasn't too sure. Do any of you guys have recommendations?
Cheers,
El Wehbi

didn't know the M had run-flats. thought those were on non-M cars?
michelin pilot super sports are great all around - light, sticky wet and dry, 30k guarantee, etc. but not super cheap.
vredestein sessanta ultrac is a good cheaper alternative. about equal to ps2 all around but cheaper. search for this one a bit.

The Dunlop Sportmaxx GT is probably the best runflat out there right now. But I prefer to drive on Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires.

Hi all, thanks for the feedback... really appreciate it!
Strange enough, my M3 did come with run-flats; I even have the run-flat kit in the trunk. I thought that maybe the Michelins were a bit too pricey (at least here in Kuwait they are), but I know the performance would be second-to-none; especially on the E92 M3. Any other tires which you guys can recommend for my car, keeping price and performance in mind?
In the end, if I can't find a suitable replacement, will probably go down the Michelin PS2 route... just wanted to do my research first.
Thanks again guys!

Whats the run-flat kit consist of? Run-flats don't come with kits as far as I know (had them on my Mini Cooper S Works). M cars usually come with mobility kits which will inflate (non-run-flats) to get you to the nearest station).

@MC321: Interesting point you make there. I was told by the dealer's service-rep that the tires I have on right now are run-flats (to be honest, I never bothered checking until I wore them out). I assumed the kit in the trunk was for the tire, but what you've said makes a lot of sense. Strange enough, I just spoke to the guy this morning (my car's in the garage) and he confirmed again that they're run-flats. Guess he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about either!
@Damon@tirerack: Might just do that!
