Questionable, as we do Many 2jz's here from 700-1400whp.. I have yet to see a built stock auto to handle 1000whp.. If the trans was swapped he would have the console apart and lever would be glide or t400 etc..

What is the point of having the hp if you can not use it? I have a 1000hp supra and I have a hard time with traction using 28x10.5 MT et slicks.

StringerBell is an unknown quantity at this point
I don't really think his intention is to ever race the car. According to the Q & A he crashed the car in a canyon race and since then has been focused on making it more of a show car. I still think it looks pretty sweet for a modified IS and the attention to detail is impressive but it really is quite a lot to drop on a car that you're not going to race.
"I was inches away from flying over a cliff, and only a retainer wall stopped me from going over. Instead of labeling the IS bad luck, I began appreciating the car even more because, as far as I was concerned, it saved me from killing myself. The car had major frame damage, so instead of making it a track weapon, I tackled the car-show scene with the goal of making it the best Lexus IS in the Lexus-owner community."
