Yesterday I did kb swings to overhead till death and did a 2 mile trail run with the wifey. She just started running and isn't bad at all, 2 weeks and she's at 10 min miles on rolling hills.

I'll be on my 10th Insanity workout tomorrow (I'm off schedule, Sun is supposed to be rest but I took today). I am keeping up fairly well and enjoying (yes, I like it) the elliptical as well. What a difference the P90X recovery formula makes. I haven't been sore very much at all.

I also started using MCT oil. You guys have thoughts on it?
Don't know about MCT oil, I'm not a doctor but I'm not wild about the P90x recovery given that is has both fructose and maltodextrin (filler). Also not sure why as a post workout it has L-Arginine, though I'm sure it can't hurt.

Killer chest workout today.

Since I was by myself I changed it up a bit and threw in, one-armed dumbell bench press, with 80s... boy does that kill your core. I loved it.

Pic from yesterday mornings ride:

Am I remembering correctly that in another thread you said you were 10 years older than me (37->47)? If so, huge kudos to you!

They switched to dextrose. I also found this review that explains the use of maltodextrin. It really does make a difference in muscle recovery and energy for the rest of the day. But I'm also eating very small meals every couple hours, just for now to jumpstart my sluggish female 40+ metabolism. You young guys don't have that problem!

Thanks. I am. The diet stuff isn't that hard, and once you get into a routine with workouts, the difference in the way it'll make a body feel (in every way, ha!) is worth it.

*edit..Gfro, you look great for any age but 56 is amazing!
